Quit Smoking due to Health but How?
I have been smoking for almost 40 years and I know I need to quit smoking, but how can I actually quit smoking? I get out of breath too easy and am coughing more now than ever. I know that smoking is ‘killing’ me and yet, find it very hard to quit.
I can go hours at a time without ‘lighting up’ mostly when I can keep my mind busy on certain things like babysitting my grandson, or even when sitting in the waiting room at the doctor’s office or hospital. However, when I go about my daily routine I find myself ‘lighting up’ before I even realize it and I especially feel I have to have a cigarette when I am driving.
This may sound crazy but I feel I could quit if I really committed to it, but I am not sure I want to quit? In any case, due to a friend of mine highly recommending "Green Smoke" (an electronic cigarette), I am going to try it out. After all, besides eliminating the carcinogens, tar and other cancer causing chemicals, maybe it can help me to ‘ween’ myself off cigarettes once and for all!
